What sitemd is
sitemd is a local website building toolkit — software you install and run on your own machine. You build sites locally with your coding agent, then deploy to your own hosting provider. sitemd is not a website hosting service.
License and usage
sitemd is licensed under the Elastic License 2.0 (ELv2). The full license text governs your use of the software. Key points:
- You receive a perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use, copy, and distribute the software
- You may use sitemd for personal and commercial projects, including client work
- You may not provide sitemd to third parties as a hosted or managed service
- You may not circumvent the license key functionality
Each purchased license includes a number of site slots that determine how many live sites you can deploy.
Pricing and payment
- Starter License: $79 one-time purchase (includes 3 site slots)
- Add-On Sites: $19 one-time per additional site slot
- Bulk Pack: 15% discount when purchasing 50 or more site slots at once
All payments are one-time purchases — there are no subscriptions or recurring charges. Payments are processed securely by Stripe. sitemd does not receive, process, or store your credit card information.
Prices are listed in USD and may change at any time. Price changes do not affect existing purchases.
Free trial
sitemd runs in trial mode by default. You can fully preview all features for free in trial mode. A license is only required when you are ready to deploy your site to production. This gives you the opportunity to evaluate the complete product before making a purchase decision.
Refund policy
All purchases are final. Because sitemd offers a full free trial with complete feature preview before purchase, we do not offer refunds.
Account and site slots
You can log in to your account dashboard at sitemd.cc/account to view your purchased, used, and available site slots. Each slot is permanently assigned to a site once activated — this cannot be undone, refunded, or credited. Additional slots can be purchased as needed.
Intellectual property
Your content is yours. sitemd does not claim any rights to the websites you build or the content you create using sitemd.
The sitemd software — including the build engine, default theme, templates, and documentation — remains the intellectual property of sitemd.cc. Your license grants you the right to use this software, not ownership of it.
Third-party services
sitemd supports integrations with third-party services for hosting, analytics, authentication, data, and more. You configure and connect these services at your own direction. Your use of any third-party service is governed by that service's own terms and privacy policy. sitemd is not responsible for the availability, performance, or policies of third-party services.
Availability and updates
sitemd is local software that runs on your machine — it does not depend on sitemd.cc servers to function. The sitemd.cc website, API, and account dashboard are provided on a best-effort basis without guaranteed uptime.
All future software updates are included with your license and delivered automatically.
Limitation of liability
sitemd is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, sitemd.cc shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of sitemd. Our total liability for any claim related to sitemd is limited to the amount you paid for your license.
Termination
sitemd.cc may terminate your account if you violate these terms. Upon termination, you lose access to the account dashboard and future updates. Your local copy of sitemd and any sites you have already built are not affected.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of sitemd after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
